You hear many things about the Mayan 2012 calendar and prophecies at the moment. There have been countless others who spoke about the Mayan Calendar and 2012 in the past, but the actual Mayan Council has been purposely calm for more than 200 years. Now, for the first time in recent history are they discoursing on their wisdom and the Prophecies.
The message is very clear. This is not doomsday, but is a fresh commencement in humanity's awareness. Yes, there will be significant changes with the planet and in civilization. We are already witnessing this with the recent collapse of old financial institutions in the planet, and transformations in the planet's magnetic field. We are, as the Mayan's say in the "End of Time", an close to 8 year period during which the transition will quicken as they head towards 2012.
For the new beginnings to birth, the old, stale, ego based systems must come to an end. Whether it is old corporate arrangements, financial systems, or political systems, if they are based on adulterated, inauthentic models or premises, they must change. As we move towards 2012, more and more changes will befall. Old models will collapse making way for new, more genuine heart based system to be created.
Ac Tah, a Mayan leader who, in the past few years has come into prominence spreading his message in Mexico, speaks that 2012 is not the expiration of life, it is in fact the beginning. Changes are occurring now, and will continue to transpire after 2012. Humanity as a whole will wake up in awareness. He says the extent of the changes that will occur and how severe they are hugely depend on the level of human awareness. He says the best thing we all can do at the moment is to come together in unity, regardless of race, religion, creed or philosophy.
There are other spiritual chiefs from Mexico, which holds one of the largest Mayan populations, who have a common message. Bestselling author of The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz has recently published another book called The Fifth Agreement. He spends much of his time travelling in North America and Mexico spreading his message "Ayudame cambiar el Mundo," which means "Help me change the World," in English.
Don Miguel states the intention of changing the world is finding equilibrium between kindness and gratitude - which is an expression of evident love. He goes further by saying that the planet is a living being and we humans are part of the organism of the earth and as such we change the world through our energy. The way we affect energy is by way of awareness. So, as we crawl deeper into love in our energy, thoughts, feelings, words and deeds, we reshape our mother, the earth, in a positive fashion.
The bottom line is that though there may be many changes that occur as we get near 2012 and after, and these changes can bring up anxiety of the unknown, we are living in a special time in humanity's history. What on the covering may look like catastrophe is really the old coming to an end in order to make way for the new. This doesn't mean that there will not be catastrophe as the changes occur. When a large corporation collapses many lose their jobs. When there are earthquakes, many may even lose their lives. And, while such things have always happened in human history, it does not negate the complexities and disasters that occur. At the same time, however, as stated by the Mayans and other spiritual leaders, in the bigger picture what is happening has been destined to happen for a very long time. And most substantially, it is taking all of us to a much better world to live in.
