MLM genealogy leads can be a valuable resource in establishing your multi level marketing, especially if you're a skilled marketer. But, much like most things, there are both positives and negatives to using them. In the following paragraphs, we'll analyze the issues surrounding MLM genealogy lists.
First Of All, The Good...
I often talk to networkers that are new to this business. Most of the time, they've been advised by their upline to do a list of friends, family members, and associates to approach about their opportunity.
This is not the best advice.
If you're marketing sports cars, the best possible prospect is someone who has purchased a sports vehicle recently... that might include your pals, family members, and acquaintances.
Sponsoring anyone into your MLM opportunity is no different. Ideally, you need t talk to individuals who have signed up with a network marketing opportunity a short while ago. These are referred to as "opportunity buyers," and that's precisely what MLM genealogy leads are.
So, if you're thinking about buying MLM genealogy leads, you're on the proper track.
The Bad...
Regrettably, it's not usually that easy.
MLM genealogy leads are often years of age, having been pulled from the back office of companies which are no longer in business. This translates into a lot of bad numbers and people yelling, "John doesn't live here anymore... Stop phoning me!"
Furthermore, there's a good chance that the list has been sold often times. Chances are, your "fresh MLM genealogy lead" has been approached many times before you ever bought their information.
One more issue is consumers. Most companies place both customers and marketers in the same report, and just because someone bought a product does not mean they'll be thinking about joining an opportunity. Yet more of your time is squandered.
The Ugly...
Last of all, there's one extremely important thing to consider. Every name on the list which you bought it there for one reason and one reason only: they signed up with, or purchased product from, a MLM.
Not one of them called for their name to be put there, neither did they ask to be solicited by you.
This influences you in two ways:
1) Lawfully, you have to be mindful in how you initiate contact. Since you don't have their authorization, and their phone number might be on the do not phone call list, you can't take advantage of something like voice broadcasting... as well as you have to be careful with e-mail.
You may call them one by one, but that's not very useful...
Direct mail is probably most secure, but some MLM genealogy leads actually include address data. The majority of include name, phone number, and e-mail if you're lucky.
2) It takes more skill to hit your objectives with these leads. If you're going to pick up the phone and call them harsh, you better understand precisely what you're going to say and be positive in your delivery.
If not--if they smell fear--you'll be eaten alive!
That is it! The good, the bad, and the ugly on MLM genealogy leads.
You are right to be aimed towards opportunity buyers, but don't forget that the majority of MLM genealogy lists are aged, out-of-date and full of bad data. You'll need to be careful how you get in touch with them, and when you do actually reach the person whose name is on your list you'll need to handle the conversation properly.
